Designed by Alexander Brenner Architects, this villa was build for an art lover and her family. This home named the SU House is the latest addition to the architects’ portfolio, the most detailed and elaborated one yet. Spreading over 640 square meter on a 2,125 square meter plot, the modern villa stirs up feelings of awe with its seamless connection to the outdoors.
Following the entrance hall the large dining table is placed below a two-storey void and lit by a skylight. The removable floor-to-ceiling glazing opens up at right-angle to the terrace, so that the inside merges with the roofed over outside in the summer months. This custom designed family retreat envisioned by Residential Attitudes and located in Bicton, Australia, makes the most of its setting, capitalizing on views while accomplishing that vital merge of flair and functionality. While the street facade has been crafted to offer a high degree of privacy, the opposite side of the house features full height windows with expansive views towards the central zen courtyard and the beautiful Swan River beyond. Designed by Modo designs, this house is a luxurious sprawl in the lap of a natural surrounding. Modo Designs is an architecture firm set up in the year 2002 in Ahmedabad, India. The firm derives its name from a latin word ‘MODO’ which means ‘of its time’. For them, design is a participatory and a exploratory process, a process of research, exploration and refinement.
The house is responsive to the series of palm trees that existed before and essentially orients itself towards it. It is designed to be inclusive of the natural elements- the sun, earth, water, air and fragments of the blue sky. Continue reading »
Foster + Partners have released new images of the luxurious, 18-story Faena House currently being constructed in Miami. Faena House Miami Beach boasts 47 units of ultimate luxury will attract culture from all over. Alan Faena, well known as the curator of Buenos Aires most successful urban neighborhood, has hired Foster + Partners to design a unique ocean front property which will offer a ten minute drive to Bal Harbour Shops, Miami Design District and the infamous South Beach.
