Sergey Makhno and Vasily Butenko design firm from Kiev, Ukraine, designed a restaurant called Twister which proves to be cutting edge.  What is interesting is how they managed to make the restaurant’s name come to life in terms of design. This restaurant which is modern European in nature gives the illusion of dining in a bird’s nest while being surrounded by the elements of rain and tornadoes.

The restaurant is divided into two areas which is the main dining and lounge area and a relaxing bar.  In the bar area, one can find fancy cushioned sofas and chairs in vibrant brown and orange upholstery.  These stand out from the rest of the interiors’ color palette. These cushions resemble pine cones and were manufactured by very sophisticated methods of upholstery.  Vertical thatched sticks make up the walls finishing, resembling a birds’ nest.  Six towers that serve as balconies resembling a tornado are situated across the main dining space.  This feature makes the whole restaurant particularly interesting in itself.  The element of rain was executed by hanging pendant lamps from the ceiling.  These lighting fixtures which are quite chic and sleek in design resemble rain drops falling from the sky.  Dining in a restaurant with design as fascinating as this will definitely whet your appetite and keep you longing for more.
